Well, I'm getting there with my writing but my blogging leaves a lot to be desired. I had intended to post monthly. Now it looks like it may have to be tri-monthly. Still, at least I have a few things to actually blog about.
Firstly, I've finally tasted the sort of the delirious heights of fame which I so richly deserve with an articleall about me published in a major (probably) Indian paper. Maxi doesn't even get a mention and it's a tie in to the World Cup! (Okay, this is slightly old news but still exciting).
But that's not all. I've received not one but two fan letters! The first was actually mailed to me from Edward of Hunters Hill, NSW. I hope you got my reply in the mail Edward. The second was from Tomas and came all the way from London, England, thanks to a letter writing task initiated by the librarian at St James Junior School. I'm glad you enjoyed Lucky Break so much. You can also expect a reply in the mail very soon Tomas (the image opposite may give you a hint).
I also owe a lot of thanks to my family for converting people to the Glenn Maxwell and Billy Slater books one by one. Or in the case of my sister Berni, who teaches Primary School kids, class by class. My mum called me up a few weeks ago to sign some Glenn Maxwell books for the grandson of her next door neighbour. Meanwhile Berni has been reading all the books to her kids in class.
By the way, big shout out to Texas and Peter Parker (you know who you are) and all the kids from 4S at St Thomas Aquinas as well. I will definitely come out for a school visit later in the year and read a few stories to you. Maybe you can read me some stories too.
In the meantime I will keep writing. I'm on to my eighth short story for a new collection to be released later this year. If you're a kid who likes sport or just a kid who likes fun, exciting stories, then hopefully you'll like this collection. Of course, I have to finish writing it first.
